Central Park in New York's heart and center of Manhattan is the most visited and widely acclaimed park in New York City of US. About 30 million visitors are drawn here each year from different corners, country and the world. Most of the park is designed to offer visitors, an opportunity for great tour and entertaining picnics. The landscape has grass land, walkways, ponds and theme parks, which offer common green space accessible to all citizen and tourists in New York.
Central park was in fact designed by architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux on 1859 with a common goal in mind - parks for the residents of the city. Because of its long history of development and entertainment, it was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1963. Ponds, bridle paths, extensive tracks, ice skating rinks, Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Conservatory Garden, a large area of natural woods, a wildlife sanctuary, a 106-acre reservoir which encircles the entire running track - Central Park has these and many more outdoor and indoor track of amusement. Amphitheater which is also called the Delacorte Theater hosts the "Shakespeare in the Park" summer festivals. In indoor attractions there are Belvedere Castle, the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre and the historic Carousel.
Extending from the west to the 5th avenue and 110th Street to 59th Street, Central Park trail covers about 800 acre of land that offers two hours guided bike ride along the entire expanse. It is easy to find the highlights of the park with such guided tours. It is harder to miss the rollicking fun which you would normally.
Bikers normally rent the bikes from bike rents that are available within the park. It is well priced, conveniently located and have plenty of stops to discover NYC moments with. There are shops along the trails for easy bites. According to your interests you can either choose the architecture tours, or you can go for picnic, movie scene and pedicab tours as well. The tour companies rent out the bicycles to pupil above the age of 8. There are Special tours that are meant for those who are above the age of 16.
While on bike you should:
